I've had the pleasure of shooting in many enchanting spots in our city, but there are three places in downtown Buffalo that are my absolute favorites. Let's explore them together.<br><br>Firstly, let's talk about Main Street, especially the Theatre District. It's a magnificent backdrop for any wedding photo. Why? Because of its eclectic mix of architectural styles. The grand and historical Shea's Theatre, with its ornate fa&ccedil;ade, adds an old-world charm that's hard to replicate. When the sun sets and the theater's marquee lights up, it sets a magical scene for a timeless wedding portrait. <br><br>Next up is Niagara Square. It's a central square, but the charm lies in its simplicity. The wide-open space, framed by a variety of architectural styles, provides a clean, modern background. A shot here, with the city's hustle and bustle as your backdrop, will definitely tell a story of your love in the heart of Buffalo.<br><br>Lastly, we have Lafayette Square. This location is a hidden gem. The main attraction here is the view of City Hall. This Art Deco giant stands tall and proud over the square, its intricate detailing creating a stunning contrast with the surrounding modern high-rises. A photo taken here, with the City Hall in the background, captures the fusion of classic and contemporary that defines Buffalo. While you would think, Niagara Square offers the best view of City Hall, Lafayette Square has one simple advantage. It is much easier to focus on you, your wedding party or your family with City Hall being just the backdrop.</p>

Why an Engagement Session is a Must Before Your Wedding Day

<p id="">  Living so close to one of the most famous waterfalls in the world, I get a lot of inquiries to do couple shoots there. It is also the number one location in the WNY area to propose. </p><p id="">To get the most common question out of the way: What is the best side, the Canadian or American side? The answer is simply both! The Canadian side has the advantage of having the best views of both falls together. The disadvantage is that you basically only walk in one straight line along very similar views, parallel to the falls themselves. All kinds of different views are the strong suit of the American falls. The beautiful state park has just been completely renewed and offers a lot of different angels of both falls. From the Canadian side it is basically all the same view since you can’t change the angle too much. </p><p id="">To name some locations if you want to go in more detail: Goat Island is right between the two straight sections of the American falls. The horseshoe bend shaped waterfall is the Canadian part of the falls. </p><p id="">On a side note, the Niagara River itself acts as the border. Ideally if you have the time to do so, just take the beautiful walk across the Rainbow Bridge (a rainbow shows up in the mist as long as the sun is shining). That is how cars cross the border/river and there is a pedestrian walkway that offers unique views of both falls from a side angle. The height of the bridge you are on makes it even more spectacular, just make sure you are not afraid of heights before you choose that option. </p><p id="">Okay, let’s dive right into it. This is the main section of the American Falls from the other side. You can see the half bridge (the one with the tower) and the rainbow bridge right behind that. We are standing on Luna Island which will always be my personal favorite to explore the Falls! Sidenote— you can actually get married on Luna Island, I photographed a ceremony there once! This spot might be an amazing option if you go earlier in the day because of the light. Where the two guys in blue are walking could be a fantastic spot to propose if you prefer keeping the photographer hidden. The hill makes it easy to get you in the foreground and the falls in the background because they can be a little higher up.                                </figcaption></figure><p id="">          </p>

Where to do a proposal at Niagara Falls

Stefan did such a fantastic job at our wedding! He was soft spoken and had a ton of patience with our wild families (Lol). He was incredibly nice and even went into bushes filled with mosquitoes just to make our pictures that much more perfect. But what really made him the best was his generosity... A week after our wedding, my grandpa passed away and Stefan captured my very last moments with him. When I reached out to Stefan requesting those photos sooner than the rest, he immediately sent them to me so I could share them with my family at his funeral. That is above and beyond exceptional service. Thank you for making our wedding a day filled with endless smiles and happy tears!

Especially if you have your own vows, the video is very powerful by incorporating your very own personality, love and humor with each other. That is simply something photos can't reproduce. So having both can ultimately only be an advantage - your gain two distinctly different ways to look back at your wedding day.

Both have their own strength. You can hang your photos on your wall. And you can watch your wedding day together again and again, for example on your anniversary or really whenever you feel like it. Take a minute to watch an example of a highlight film.

Why you need a highlight film

Make sure that all references to the self are in the first person singular, as I am the only photographer on my team. Please also ensure that there are no references to “our team” or “our photographer”. Instead, all writing should be coming directly from me. I would also like it to be quite down to earth and without lots of fluff and flowery language.

"I recently moved to Buffalo, NY. Why Buffalo? Because my wife grew up here. I was born and raised in Münster, Germany and lived most recently in Vienna, Austria. I worked as a journalist for financial newspapers, websites and magazines. I wrote mainly about tech companies such as Apple, Facebook, Google among other things. As part of my job I was exposed to photography and filmmaking and discovered a passion. It didnʼt take long for family and friends to ask me to photograph their weddings.
