Natural and candid family photography

There are several ways to capture family life in photography. You can build sets, put a newborn in a pumpkin, or add a bow on the baby’s head.

Or you show life more as it is, using a photojournalistic approach.

Sometimes life is chaotic, but full of beautiful moments that deserve to be captured.

Capturing family life in a natural setting like your home, backyard or a nearby park can look a lot more spectacular than you think. Take a look at the portfolio below to see if we might be a good fit to work together.

Let’s start here

So, you are looking for some professional images of your family. Depending on season, weather and age of your kids, you might want to consider doing the session in your home. One well-arranged room with natural light is all we need. Or maybe we also use your backyard so that you have everything you might need just a couple steps away. Another location can be a playground, a park, or the waterfront to showcase the beautiful nature in and around Buffalo.

Keep it going

Of course I am happy to work with you over the years as your family changes and grows. Recurring sessions come with a discount, since we already know each other and since we already have a relationship established. It also makes a lot of sense to choose a location we didn’t do last time, just to switch up the surroundings a little bit and create even more variety.

A day in life

If you like the idea of documentary photos of your family, why not cover a day in your life? We can start with spilling cereal at the breakfast table and go all the way till bed time to show the different stages of everyday life. Most of the photos on this page are shot in about one hour. Image what we could do if we had an entire day to take these images!
