Lisa and James' weddding at Rosebud Estate Weddings

When Lisa and James asked to do their engagement photos at their wedding venue I didn't really know if that would be a good idea. But while I was driving around 50 minutes from Buffalo to Arcade, NY I got more and more excited. There is something magical about leaving the mostly flat area of your city and finding yourself surrounded by beautiful hills and farms. I passed so many freshly harvested fields that I wished we could just shoot in there.

But when I arrived at Rosebud Estate Weddings I was instantly hooked. The variety this place offers is stunning. There is so much to choose from: horses with mountains in the background, four differently shaped ponds including a fountain and a small waterfall and a gazebo right in the middle, a little forest and open fields. There was more than I could have asked for. By now I was very glad that Lisa and James suggested this for their engagement shoot.

When their wedding day arrived a couple of months later, I was not only happy to see Lisa and James again. I was happy to go back to this amazing place. The weather forecast with thunderstorms was something I wasn't so happy about though. Luckily we had perfect soft lighting on an overcast day before it started pouring after the inside reception started.

The beautiful flowers were made by the Buffalo based florist Flourish. Carol and Norine are two of my favorite florists, we happened to do a couple of the same weddings this season.
