Finally, it's here. Wedding season 2017 started for Stefan Ludwig Photography. Just as last year around the same time as I was with Kai from Germany in Mexico to cover a destination wedding, there was something special for the kick off again.
Kai flew in to Toronto so we could meet with the bride and groom, Anisa and Faizal. Right from the airport we took the train to go to their downtown apartment where the wedding day would start a few days later.
The way we both met Anisa and Faizal the first time was kind of random. We spend a few days in Toronto in August 2016 before we covered two weddings in Rochester and Buffalo. I asked the Air BnB host if he knew anyone who would be interested in a couple shoot. You guessed it by now, these two were Anisa and Faizal. They invited us for dinner after the shoot and asked us if we would like to cover their wedding together.
We started the day in the early morning to capture how they prepared themselves for the Nikka ceremony. Also we did a short interview with Faizal to add some more of their story to their video. Kai focused on video, I shot photos most of the day. The ceremony took place at the Ismaili Centre, the reception was at Casa Loma.
